Ugot Browser Agent 는 사용자의 컴퓨터에서 실행되는 AI 에이전트(MCP 서버)가 사용자가 명시적으로 허용한 웹사이트를 사용자의 브라우저로 읽고 조작(클릭·입력·스크롤·스크린샷)할 수 있게 연결하는 브릿지입니다.
방문 통계
이 웹사이트(agent.ugot.uk)는 방문 페이지·유입 경로·브라우저 종류를 익명으로 집계합니다(쿠키 없음, 탭을 닫으면 사라지는 세션 ID 만 사용). 확장 프로그램 자체는 어떤 통계도 보내지 않습니다.
수집하는 데이터
이 확장은 어떤 데이터도 개발자나 제3자 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 확장이 다루는 데이터는 다음이 전부이며, 모두 사용자의 컴퓨터 안에서만 오갑니다.

로컬 브릿지와 Ugot 계정
확장이 연결되는 로컬 브릿지(오픈소스, 사용자의 컴퓨터에서 실행)는 요금제(무료/Pro) 적용을 위해 Ugot 계정 로그인을 요구합니다. 이때 브릿지는 auth.ugot.uk(로그인·계정 확인)와 pay.ugot.uk(구독 상태 확인)에만 접속하며, 보내는 것은 로그인 토큰뿐입니다. 웹페이지 내용, 화면 캡처, 방문 기록은 이 서버들로 전송되지 않습니다. 토큰은 사용자의 컴퓨터(~/.ugot/browser-agent, 소유자만 읽을 수 있는 권한)에만 저장되고, 로그아웃하면 서버에서 폐기됩니다. 무료 요금제의 사용량(하루 실행 횟수, 이번 달 사용한 사이트 수)도 같은 폴더에만 기록됩니다.
비밀번호 입력칸은 값이 확장에 노출되지 않도록 항상 가려지며((hidden)), 확장은 비밀번호 칸에 절대 입력하지 않습니다. 확장에는 분석·광고·원격 로깅 코드가 없고, 외부 네트워크 요청을 하지 않습니다.
사용자 통제
- 사이트 허용은 사용자가 팝업에서 직접 누를 때만 부여되며, 언제든 취소할 수 있습니다.
- 제출·결제·삭제·전송 성격의 동작은 페이지 안 승인창에서 사용자가 "승인"을 눌러야 실행됩니다.
- 확장을 제거하면 저장된 설정도 함께 삭제됩니다.
제3자 제공 · 판매
없습니다. 이 확장은 데이터를 수집·저장·판매·공유하지 않습니다. 로컬 브릿지에 어떤 AI 모델을 연결할지는 사용자가 정하며, 그 모델로 페이지 내용이 전달되는 것은 사용자가 구성한 에이전트의 동작입니다.

What the extension does
Ugot Browser Agent connects an AI agent (an MCP server) running on the user's own computer to the websites the user has explicitly allowed, so the agent can read and act on those pages (click, type, scroll, screenshot) in the user's browser.
Data handling
The extension sends no data to the developer or to any third-party server. It has no analytics, ads, or remote logging, and makes no network requests other than a WebSocket to the local bridge on 127.0.0.1 (loopback).
- Page content from allowed sites (visible text, list of links/buttons/inputs, and screenshots on request) is delivered only to that local bridge process.
- Settings (bridge port, enabled flag, allowed sites) are stored only in
chrome.storage.localand Chrome's permission system.
Password fields are always masked as (hidden) and the extension never types into them.
Local bridge and Ugot account
The open-source local bridge the extension connects to (running on the user's computer) asks for a Ugot account sign-in to apply the Free/Pro plan. For that it contacts only auth.ugot.uk (sign-in, account check) and pay.ugot.uk (subscription status), sending nothing but the sign-in token. Page content, screenshots and browsing history are never sent to these servers. Tokens are stored only on the user's computer (~/.ugot/browser-agent, owner-readable) and revoked on logout. Free-plan usage counters (actions per day, sites this month) live in the same folder.
User control
Site access is granted only when the user presses "Allow this site" in the popup and can be revoked at any time. Actions that look like submit/pay/delete/send require the user to approve an in-page prompt. Uninstalling the extension deletes its stored settings.
Sharing and sale
None. The extension does not collect, store, sell, or share data. Which AI model the local bridge talks to is the user's choice and configuration.
